1. Data Controller and Collected Information
Ahd Academy considers the protection of user data a top priority. When logging in via Google and ORCID, our system processes only the following data:
- Identity Information: First name, last name, and academic title (if applicable).
- Contact Information: Email address (retrieved as verified from your Google or ORCID profile).
- Academic Identifiers: ORCID iD (mandatory for academic matching and publication integrity).
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and session cookies.
2. Third-Party Integrations (Google & ORCID)
Our platform utilizes the OAuth 2.0 protocol to enhance user experience and ensure academic identity verification:
- Google OAuth: By logging in with Google, we access basic profile information shared under Google’s privacy policy. This data is never used for advertising purposes.
- ORCID: For the sake of academic transparency, "public" data from your ORCID profile and your unique identifier are automatically retrieved and linked to your author profile.
3. Purpose of Processing and Retention
Collected data is processed for managing manuscript submissions, organizing peer reviews, and academic archiving. In accordance with the principle of preserving academic records, author information in published articles is archived indefinitely.
This policy is prepared in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and KVKK standards.
